• What time will my device arrive and who will deliver it?

  Delivery time will be determined when the order is placed. Generally orders will be delivered between 8am -5pm on your selected date. If a timed delivery is requested, this will incur an additional charge. Your device will be delivered by FedEx when standard deliver is selected, and by UPS when timed delivery is requested.

• Do I need to be there to sign for the package?

  Yes all packages must be signed for but orders can be shipped to an address of your choice. Meaning you can always ensure it is delivered to an address where it can be signed for.

• Do I need to contact my card issuer before I travel?

  As Vodafone is a UK based company, we recommend you tell your card issuer that you will be traveling internationally. A deposit of $50 ($500 for Satellite phone) will be taken at the time of order if traveling within 9 days and during your rental period, when airtime usage exceeds $150 ($500 for satellite phone), an invoice will be raised for the airtime used to date. This amount will be charged automatically to the credit card on your account and will be repeated if necessary.

• What do I do if my device will not charge or appears faulty when it arrives?

  All devices will be fully charged on arrival. If the device does not appear to be charged or does not turn on, please consult your user guide for full instructions on turning on the phone. If the phone is still not functioning, please call our Customer Service team for full help and support.

• Where internationally can I use my Verizon Wireless phone to make and receive calls?

  To find if your US Verizon Wireless phone will work internationally, please visit the Verizon Wireless International Services page.

• How do I set up call forwarding?

  To set up call forwarding you will need the Vodafone access code, found on the inside front cover f your user guide. Call forwarding must be set up before you travel.
  - Turn on your Verizon Wireless US cell phone
  - Press *72 followed by the Vodafone access code e.g. *72 866 ... ....
  - Press send
  - You will hear a tone that indicates call forwarding has been activated.

• What do I do if I wish to cancel my order?

  Please contact Vodafone as soon as possible. If you cancel your order before it has been shipped, you will incur no cancellation fees. If however you cancel the order and the order has shipped, you will be held responsible for the shipping charges only, provided the phone is returned before the rental commences.

• What do I do if my device will not register on the network?

  If the network indicator displays no bars and there is no network name on the phones display (such as 'Vodafone UK'), the phone has not registered on a network. You may be in an area with little or no network coverage. The phone should register on the network automatically when it is next in an area with coverage. You can however check network availability by performing a manual roam. Please contact Vodafone Customer Services directly, or refer to the manufacturer's guide for further information. Please remember that the wireless service must be switched on from the main screen for Blackberry's.

• What should I do if I lose my device or it is stolen while traveling?

  You must notify Vodafone Customer Services immediately on +44 1206 835444 to have the device disconnected. You will be responsible for certain charges. Please see terms and conditions for full details. A replacement phone can be shipped to any country in the EU within 48 working hours.

• How do I lock the keypad on my device?

  This feature ensures calls and text messages are not accidentally sent on your phone. Please consult your user guide for full instructions.

• How do I call back to the US?

  - GSM/ BlackBerry and satellite phones – dial + 1 AREA CODE and NUMBER. The + sign acts as the exit code for the country you are in.
  Japanese phones – dial 00 46 010 1 AREA CODE and NUMBER

• How do I call within Europe?

  Simply dial + COUNTRY CODE and NUMBER (including area code – but drop the first 0 in all countries excluding Italy). The + sign acts as the exit code for the country you are in.

• How do I know I have voicemail?

  When you receive a voicemail message you will receive a free text message notification.

• How do people in the US call me?

  Simply tell your contacts to dial 011 followed by your international phone number as it is written. You will find this on the inside front cover of your user guide.

• Can I send and receive text messages?

  Yes you can. Text messages can be sent to and from other GSM devices. If you have a satellite phone you can text other satellite phones and even send emails in the same way. However, you will not be able to send text messages to or receive messages from a CDMA phone unless the CDMA phone has international capability. When call forwarding has been activated please be aware that only voice calls are forwarded and text messages are not forwarded. Your contacts in the US must send text messages to the international number dialling 011 before the international number.

• How do I turn call forwarding off?

  You must turn call forwarding off when you return home. To do so, follow these simple steps:
  - Turn on your Verizon Wireless US cell phone
  - Press *720
  - Press send. You will hear a confirmation tone that indicates call forwarding has been deactivated.

• When should I return my equipment?

  Please ensure your equipment is received by us within 4 working days of the end of your rental period (the disconnection date). If the equipment is not received within this period, additional daily rental charges will apply. If the equipment is not returned within 15 days of the end of your rental period (the disconnection date) you will be charged the full replacement cost for the device. Please see your term and conditions for full details.

• How do I return my equipment?

  Returning your phone is simple. As part of your rental kit you will have received a pre-paid FedEx returns label. Simply fill in your details in the 'from' section and stick the white return label onto the box you are returning your device in. Call FedEx on 1 800 GO FEDEX (1 800 463 3339) and say 'schedule pick up' and follow the prompts to arrange collection. Alternatively you can drop off your labeled box at a FedEx Kinko's. Please do not use a FedEx drop box. Before you return your device please remove any personal information you may have stored – for example data, texts or contact information.

• What if I've misplaced the pre-paid returns label?

  That's not a problem. Simply call FedEx and request the driver brings a new blank returns label, when your device is collected. You will need to fill this in before the driver will take the package. Fill in our account number (113348160) and address, along with your details and request that it is shipped as 'bill recipient'. Please ensure the device is returned to: Vodafone Specialist Communications Limited, c/o Echo Data, 855 Fox Chase, Coatesville, PA 19320.

• Do I get my deposit back?

  Your deposit will be used to help settle your final invoice.

• How do I know if my invoice has been paid?

  Once your invoice is raised, the deposit you paid at the start of your rental will be used to help settle your invoice. The final balance will either be deducted from or refunded to your credit card. You can see all the transactions made on your card on page 3 of your invoice under the heading STATEMENT. This will also tell you the outstanding balance. If it is $0.00 the invoice has been paid and no further action is required.

• Why have I received a second invoice?

  When you return your phone, we charge you for all calls we know you have made. However, it can take up to 30 days for the network to inform us of all the calls you made on your trip. If extra call information comes in after we have invoiced you, we will send you a second invoice to cover these calls.
